On Sep 7^th, 2016, YaoPharma celebrated its self-developed ANDA product Venlafaxine HCl Tablets exporting to US market. YaoPharma is one of the few pharmaceutical companies exporting finished products to US market (the only one in Western China). After exporting Quetiapine Fumarate Extended-Release Tablets to Canada in 2015, it is another important milestone for YaoPharma’s internationalization strategy.

Venlafaxine HCl Tablets is one kind of psychiatric drug. It has anti-anxiety and anti-depression effects, mainly used for treatment of depression, including anxiety depression, generalized anxiety, etc. After being marketed for 22 years, Venlafaxine is well accepted for its confirmed and stable efficacy and become one of the first choice medications for patients with depression. It has a big market potential in EU and US.

Exporting finished products to US market does not only mean that YaoPharma’s product can reach the high quality standard of developed countries, it also provides a “made-in-China” option to patients with depression in EU and US. It provided valuable experience for Chinese pharmaceutical companies to get through the barrier to international pharmaceutical market, especially the export of high-end finished products.
